How we can help

Every home is different. We’ll discuss the existing condition, material choices and scope before you decide on the work.

Plan a siding & trim project

EXPLORE SIDING & TRIM

Find the details for your project.

Choose the appearance you want, compare material upkeep and understand the repairs that may need to happen behind the siding.

UNDERSTAND YOUR OPTIONS

What should you compare?

Vinyl

An option for homeowners looking for a range of profiles and colors without a routine repainting plan.

Before you decide
Compare the exact product line, profile, finish and warranty. Ask how damaged or faded panels could be matched later.

Fiber cement

Available in looks such as lap siding, vertical panel-and-batten designs and shingle-style accents.

Before you decide
Ask whether the finish is factory-applied or field-painted, and discuss coating care and installation details.

Wood and composite

Wood and composite products offer different textures and construction. “Composite” covers more than one material.

Before you decide
Have the bid identify the actual product. Compare finish maintenance, moisture details and repairability for that specific material.

FIND YOUR DIRECTION

Styles and colors that fit your home.

Horizontal lap

A familiar horizontal rhythm that works across a full elevation.

Board-and-batten

Vertical panels with trim strips for a stronger vertical pattern.

Shake or shingle accents

A textured option for gables or other focal areas. Material and edge patterns vary.

Mixed profiles

Combine a main wall profile with a limited accent area, while coordinating trim and transitions.

Choose the main siding color alongside the roof, masonry and trim—not in isolation. Light neutrals, grays, deeper blues and greens offer different directions. Compare samples outdoors in sun and shade. Texture and sheen can change how the same color appears.

PLAN THE INVESTMENT

What changes the price?

Compare complete written scopes. A lower total may include different materials, less preparation or fewer repairs.

For a useful starting conversation, share a few photos, your project goals and whether you want repair or replacement options.

  • Material, profile and finish selection
  • Wall area, stories and access
  • Removal and disposal of existing cladding
  • Sheathing, wood rot or other concealed repairs
  • Window and door trim, corners, soffit and fascia work

START WITH THE PROBLEM

Recognize the concern.
Ask about the cause.

These examples help you describe a problem; photos alone do not confirm a diagnosis. Share pictures you can take safely from the ground.

Soft trim or deteriorated wood

Replacing the visible damage is only part of the discussion. Ask what allowed moisture in and how the proposed repair addresses it.

Loose, cracked or distorted panels

Photograph the affected area and a wider view. Material identification and matching availability help determine the repair scope.

Stains near windows or roof intersections

Ask for an inspection of the water-management details at the transition. New siding alone should not be treated as an explanation for a leak.

BEFORE YOU REACH OUT

Questions worth asking.

Should I choose a material or a style first?

Start with the appearance and maintenance you want, then compare materials that offer that look. A board-and-batten appearance can be made using different products.

Can I replace one wall or just the damaged area?

Sometimes. Matching color, profile and existing weathering can be a challenge. Ask to see the proposed match and the transitions before deciding.

What happens if you find rot underneath?

Ask the proposal to explain how hidden damage will be documented, priced and approved before extra work begins.

Does new siding include soffit and fascia?

Only when included in the written scope. List siding, soffit, fascia, trim, painting and gutters separately so you can compare bids accurately.

Will I need to repaint?

That depends on the material and finish. Vinyl generally avoids routine painting; wood, painted fiber cement and other products have their own finish-care needs. Follow the selected manufacturer’s guidance.

Can you help me see the combination?

Ask about samples and exterior visualization during your consultation. A screen is useful for narrowing choices; approve the actual materials and colors using physical samples.

WHEN YOU’RE READY FOR A PROPOSAL

Compare the scope.
Then compare the price.

  • Manufacturer, material, profile and finish
  • Exact walls and trim included in the work
  • Removal, water-management and flashing scope
  • Process and pricing for concealed damage
  • Paint or finish scope, cleanup and written warranties

Have plans or a written scope already? Call to arrange how to share them, along with the property location, your preferred timing and any bid deadline.

PROTECTION AFTER INSTALLATION

Extended warranty options

Extended warranties are available with regular inspections and preventive maintenance plans. Ask us about the plan for your project.

Manufacturer and labor warranties cover different aspects of your project. Refer to the written warranties and your proposal for coverage, conditions and exclusions.
