SERVICES / SIDING & TRIM
One material. Many ways to shape your exterior.

Hardie fiber cement offers horizontal lap, vertical panel and shingle-style looks. Begin with the architectural character you want, then coordinate texture, trim and finish.

A complete siding proposal should address removal, sheathing repairs, weather barrier, flashing, clearances, trim and finish. See the detailed style and color guide below.
DESIGN THE LOOK
Hardie Plank creates overlapping horizontal courses. Narrower visual spacing feels more detailed; a wider reveal produces a bolder rhythm. Smooth and wood-grain textures create different impressions. Confirm which widths and finishes are offered in your selected line.
Vertical panels paired with battens create strong upright lines. Use the look across the exterior for a farmhouse direction, or on a gable to contrast with horizontal walls. Batten spacing and trim proportions should be planned around windows and doors.
A panel-based exterior can create a simpler vertical composition. Panel texture, joints and trim details determine whether the result feels traditional or contemporary. Discuss the exact panel and approved installation details rather than rotating a horizontal lap product.
Shingle-style siding adds texture to upper walls or gables. A restrained combination—lap on the main walls, vertical siding at an entry, or shingles in a gable—helps establish a focal point without making every elevation compete.

FACTORY-FINISHED COLOR
ColorPlus® Technology is James Hardie’s factory-applied, baked-on finish. Compare it with primed siding that receives its finish on site. Your decision affects the color selection, installation scope and future coating care.
Browse the manufacturer’s current color collection and order physical samples. Availability depends on your location, product and texture. The collection is the place to review current prefinished options rather than rely on an old color list.

Yes—plan a defined accent area, such as a gable or entrance, and coordinate the change in profile with a trim or architectural transition. The exact material and installation details should be included in the design.
No. Discuss cleaning, inspections, joints and finish care for your selected product. A long material warranty is not the same as an exterior that never needs attention.
Compare available colors, the look of physical samples, installation timing and the finish scope. Ask who performs any painting and which written finish warranty applies.

We can discuss options and arrange an assessment. Confirm any inspection or diagnostic fee when scheduling; an installation estimate and a diagnostic visit can have different scopes.
