THE STARTING POINT
Worn roofing and damaged roof edges.
The project photos show aging roofing, worn siding and deteriorated wood around the eaves. The porch's older metal awning and columns were also part of the exterior renovation.
THE WORK
Bring the roof and trim together.
Weather Shielders replaced the shingles and damaged wood, then finished the roof edges with wicker-colored aluminum fascia and vented vinyl soffit. Double Dutch-lap vinyl siding updated the gable, with new wood columns at the porch.
THE FINISH
A coordinated roof, siding and trim.
The completed project uses TAMKO Elite Glass-Seal three-tab shingles and black drip-edge metal at the eaves and rakes. The photographs connect the roofing work with the siding and roof-edge details on the same home.
