THE CHALLENGE
Approval did not cover the whole budget.
After Weather Shielders inspected the roof, the insurer approved a replacement claim. According to the project account, the initial claim amount was reduced by approximately 80% for depreciation, leaving a significant funding gap for the homeowner.
THE FOLLOW-THROUGH
Document the additional damage.
Weather Shielders documented additional damage involving the rear porch awning, fascia, eaves and gutters and submitted those items for supplemental consideration. The album includes inspection photographs of these areas alongside the roof-replacement work.
THE RESULT
Find a workable route to replacement.
We discounted our roof-replacement labor and found a vendor offering promotional pricing on selected shingle colors. Combined with the claim work, those savings helped the homeowner replace the roof with minimal out-of-pocket expense.
This describes one homeowner's project, as reported by Weather Shielders. Coverage, depreciation, deductibles, supplemental payments and final costs depend on the policy, insurer's decisions and project scope. No specific insurance payment or out-of-pocket amount is promised.
